Great location for family activities. House had plenty of room and table space for extended family. Basement facilities were the best we have used in our multiple visits to Smith Mountain Lake. Going back next year.

Wonderful few days celebrating our daughter's college graduation at Liberty University! Excellent place to stay with a larger group n we will be back! Our kiddos (age 19-23) were NEVER bored and appreciated the paddle boards & kayaks! We rented a boat with Cara's recommendation & it was heavenly ! Thanks Cara!

My family had a wonderful vacation at SML staying at Cara’s lovely home. The home is beautifully furnished and well appointed with comfortable gathering spaces, large well equipped kitchen and dining area. The home offered plenty of space for everyone to spread out and pursue relaxation the sunroom, watching TV in the two living areas or playing board games at the bar or dining table. The ping pong table, dock, provided floats, kayaks and paddle boards kept our family entertained for hours! Looking forward to booking again next summer.

We had a great stay at Lakefront Escape. Host was very responsive with any questions that we had prior to arrival and allowed us to have an early check in. The house is immaculate. It is very clean and new and every little detail was beautifully done in the house.
There are 6 bedrooms with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. There is a large deck with seating and a dining area right off of the living room to enjoy the views of the water. The dock was very nice with a bar area and lots of space to hang out by the water. My favorite room in the house is the sunroom right off of the kitchen. It was so cozy with water views all around.
I hope to come back and stay in this beautiful home again.

Terrific home with plenty of space. The location is great, near Bridgewater Marina but secluded to give you privacy as well.
I’ve been coming to SML for several years and we love this home.
Also, Host is super responsive.

We had such a good time at this really nice house on SML. The house was so nice, clearly recently renovated, and not done cheaply. Beds and beddings were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, lots of bedrooms plus space for kids to play. And the dock was also great. In a nice cove that has less traffic so the kids had a great time swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, etc. Easy to rent a boat from nearby arenas and explore the lake. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun lake trip.

Our family had never been to Smith Mountain Lake VA and chose to come last minute because our planned trip to the NC mountains was canceled due to the hurricane. This house was PERFECT for our multi generational family from age 2 to 81! The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and so very comfortable. The kitchen was an amazing gathering space and very well stocked. Living areas are super comfortable for people of all ages. We rented a boat from the marina and played putt putt and had ice cream there. What a wonderful trip! Everyone was so kind and we enjoyed our time tremendously. The host was very kind, responded quickly and communicated well. It was hard to leave the incredible views from almost every room and the built in comforts of this home to return to reality. Hope to be back in the future. Thank you for allowing us to make memories here!
